What’s for sale?

• Appropriate Fall/Winter clothing (newborn thru children’s size 12; no adult or maternity)
• Gently used children’s shoes. No tennis shoes.
• Toys – no stuffed animals except licensed characters (ex. Elmo, Dora, Disney, etc), no war games, or weapons
• Children’s books – limit 20 per consignor
• CD’s, computer CD’s, DVD’s, & Videos (RATED G OR PG ONLY AND MUST BE IN CASE)
• Books & videos will be donated at the end of the sale.
• Baby equipment & children’s furniture

Saturday’s half price sale will include ALL colored tags (including beige), shoes, books and videos.

2008 Fall Sale

 Consignment Rules
John Knox reserves the right to refuse any item that may be innappropriate for the sale or does not meet the quality standards set by the program

Clothing

• Maximum of 70 items of clothing
• Infant & children's Fall/Winter clothing
• Clothing must be very gently used, in excellent condition, in current style, and free of stains, tears, pilling, or missing buttons
• Clothing must be cleaned, ironed, on hangers, and sorted by gender and size
• No underwear or onesies.
• Maximum of 3 pair of shoes per gender per consignor, NO tennis shoes

Toys, Equipment, Furniture

• Items must be very clean, in good working condition, and have all parts and pieces
• Include instructions for large toys & equipment
• Battery operated toys/equipment must include WORKING batteries
• Package games/toys securely. Place parts in secured plastic bag with tag.  Do not place tags inside bag.
• Tag should be securely taped to item and should be safety pinned to soft items.  do not write prices on masking tape.
• No game systems accepted (Xbox, Nintendo, etc.)
• We do not accept carseats, bottles, or stuffed animals

Pricing suggestion: price items at 1/3 of the new price value

Tagging & Hanging Clothing

• Hang all clothing with open end of hanger pointing to the left (as you hold the item in front of you) Hangers will not be returned
• Pin tags by string to the right shoulder seam as you hold clothing as stated above.  Do NOT used small gold safety pins, straight pins, staples, or metal tags.
• Pants must be pinned by the waiste to the top of the hanger so they don't fall off, not folded over the hanger
• Tag each item with the applicable tag.  You must provide the tags, use medium/large pre strung tags.  Items with small tags will not be accepted until properly tagged
• tag colors:  white tags=full price for entire sale  colored tags = full price wed-fri, 1/2 price Saturday (this includes beige tags)
• Indicate the following on each tag: consignor number, price, size
• price in $.50 increments, do NOT price any items less than $1.00
• Use number sizes only, not small, medium or large.  If an item is a size 7 but fits like a 6, then size it 'fits like a 6'
• Tag ALL items (ex. item 1 of 2, Item 2 of 2).  Do not price the 2nd item.  Price needs to be on first piece of clothing
• Tag and price all items before your appointment.  We schedule 15 minute appointments so please be courteous to others and have your items tagged AND priced when you arrive.
• Put all receiving/crocheted blankets in plastic bags, not on hangers
• Shoues must have laces tied together or must be in plastic bags.  Attach tag with masking tape on the bottom of both shoes.  If shoes are in a bag, the tag must be on the outside of bag.  DO NOT use masking tape as your tag.  All shoes will be reduced to 1/2 price on Saturday

John Knox Kindergarten is not responsible for lost items.  any item without a tag will be donated.  Please make sure all items are properly tagged and securely attached.
