One of our primary purposes at John Knox is to give each child a firm sense of self, and an understanding of the world and their place in it.  Our program was started in 1958, for 50 years we have helped children grow through explanation, exploration, and experimentation.  It is through this that children can develop language, social, academic and motor skills that will aid in their future developement. Through Christian teachings of love and respect for others, the children are guided to grow in their relationships to others and especially to God.

At John Knox our kindergarten students have many opportunities for enrichment and fellowship in and outside the classroom setting.  We take every chance to make our environment one that is stimulating, exciting, and educational.  Our Staff recognizes that each child is a unique individual who must be allowed to progress at their own pace.  All Children have the right to develop to their maximum potential and it is our responsibility to provide a variety of opportunities and experiences so that this development can occur.  Our Staff includes SC certified educators as well as a certified music teacher and computer teacher.
